Overview
Wrapbook automatically tracks Vacation & Holiday (V&H) accruals for union project workers. Instead of calculating and recording vacation pay separately, Wrapbook accrues V&H based on the worker's union agreement rate and displays a running balance directly on the timecard.
By default, vacation pay is paid out automatically with each payroll run. Authorized company team members can also switch to manual payout mode to hold accruals and release them at a specific time.
How V&H accruals work
Each time a union worker's timecard is processed, Wrapbook calculates the vacation and holiday contribution owed based on the worker's agreement rate. This amount accrues automatically — you don't need to enter it manually.
The accrual rate is determined by the union agreement associated with the worker's project setup.
V&H payout settings
V&H accruals are configured independently for each project worker. This means a worker can have one payout setting for Vacation and a different setting for Holiday — they are not linked.
Each setting has two options:
Automatic payout (default)
By default, vacation pay is paid out automatically on every timecard. The accrued V&H amount is included in the worker's paycheck each pay period.
This is the default setting and requires no configuration.
Manual payout (Accrue)
You Wrapbook Customer Success Manager can switch a worker to manual payout mode to hold accruals and release them at a designated time, for example, at the end of a worker's engagement or per a specific agreement requirement.
This is available only for unionized workers on eligible agreements
When manual payout mode is active, V&H accrues each pay period but is not included in the worker's regular paycheck until a manual payout is triggered

Viewing the V&H balance on the timecard
The worker's running V&H balance is visible directly on the timecard. The balance updates with each payroll run.
Vacation pay appears in a separate column called (VAC), so the gross wage total reflects expected earnings without V&H conflating the amount.
To review the balance scroll down to the Accruals section of the project worker’s timecard
