Also called the Employment Eligibility Verification form, the Form I-9 is a federal document used to verify the identity and employment authorization of all U.S. employees.

Access I-9 settings
I-9 settings are permission based
To update, your account must have one of the following roles enabled:
Role: Company Admin
Custom role with: General settings - Full access, Production entities - Full access, Manage
To access I-9 settings:
In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu
In the dropdown menu, select All projects
In the left-side navigation, click Company settings
Scroll down the page until you see Project Preferences
Click the Edit button next to I-9 settings
Update I-9 settings
When updating I-9 settings, be aware of the following:
You can update your company’s I-9 settings at any time
Changes to settings won’t affect workers who’ve already been onboarded
Changes will only affect new workers, and existing workers who haven’t completed the onboarding process
Collect I-9s from workers
Collecting Forms I-9 from all US workers through Wrapbook's platform is a default preference for projects in Wrapbook. If you’re choosing to collect Forms I-9 outside of Wrapbook, you can disable I-9 collection.
How to configure Forms I-9 collection:
1. In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu
2. In the dropdown menu, select All projects
3. In the left-side navigation click Company settings
4. Scroll down the page until you see Project preferences
5. Next to I-9 settings, click the Edit button
Forms I-9 expiration preferences
Under Expiration preference, select your company’s default expiration date for worker Forms I-9.
The options are: 3 years, 1 year, Beginning of each year, or Re-verify each project
When Wrapbook detects that a Form I-9 is expired, the worker will be required to complete a new Form I-9 when they are next onboarded to a project.
Federal regulations state that employers must retain a Form I-9 for each person you hire for three years after the date of hire, or one year after the date employment ends, whichever is later.

Forms I-9 expiration preferences
Federal regulations state that employers must retain a Form I-9 for each person you hire for three years after the date of hire, or one year after the date employment ends, whichever is later. However, some employers choose to adopt a shorter timeline to ensure all employee Forms I-9 are up to date.
Under Expiration preference, select your company’s Default expiration date for worker Forms I-9. When Wrapbook detects that a Form I-9 is expired, the worker will be required to complete a new Form I-9 when they are next onboarded to a project.
The Default expiration options are:
3 years
1 year
Beginning of each year
Re-verify each project
If you update I-9 settings, be sure to click the Save I-9 preferences button before leaving the page.
