The USCIS requires Section 2, known as Form I-9 verification, be completed by the employer no later than the 3rd business day after the employee starts work for pay.
In Wrapbook, any user with Company Admin, Company Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Assistant, or Department Head roles can approve I-9s, unless custom permissions are in place.
Form I-9 verification consists of the employee presenting identification documents to be physically reviewed, an employer reviewing those documents in person for legitimacy, and then entering the document information into Section 2 of the Form I-9. Once this is done, the employer adds their signature.
A list of types of identification documents that are acceptable to use can be found on the USCIS website or page 3 of the Form I-9.

Once all information is entered, scroll down and click the Sign button

FAQ
To help, we’ve put together the following list of frequently-asked questions and answers.
Click the arrow next to a question to see the answer.
What if I notice that information on Section 1 is incorrect?
Verifiers can send the form back to the worker with notes if any information is incorrect. For instructions, see: How to request changes to a worker’s Form I-9
Do rehires need to complete an entirely new Form I-9? What about workers who need to complete a Supplement B?
Per USCIS regulations, rehires only need to complete Supplement B, however companies can choose in their Company settings to override this and enforce that new I-9s are required even for rehires. For instructions, see How to complete Supplement B when rehiring workers.
What can I do if I’m unable to complete Section 2?
If you try to complete Section 2 and information is missing or incorrectly formatted, error messages will appear. To resolve the errors:
Confirm that dates entered use MM/DD/YYYY format
If there’s no expiration date or information to enter within a field, leave it blank, do not add “N/A” or a dash
Confirm that you have signed the form - If you correct any errors you will be prompted to re-sign the form again, to ensure you are attesting to the changed information. If you’re unable to sign the document on mobile or on the Wrapbook app, we recommend trying on a desktop computer
Can I complete the I-9 form on my phone?
Yes! The I-9 workflow is mobile-friendly. You can complete your forms conveniently from a mobile device.
