Project setup: Production details

Overview

After completing the Project details step, you'll be prompted to add Production details. Wrapbook uses this information to ensure your project is properly configured for union compliance and payroll.

You can proceed to the next step after saving this section, or click the Finish setup later button to save your project as a Draft and return to complete setup at a later time.

The information you’re prompted to enter in this project setup step depends on the Production type you selected in the previous step. The sections below describe the fields for the most common production types.

Feature Film

Program format

  • Click the dropdown menu to select the format that best describes your production:

    • Feature-Length

    • Live Special / Variety Event

    • Long-Form

    • One-Time

Studio

  • Click the dropdown menu to indicate whether your production is affiliated with a major studio or is independently produced:

    • Independent

    • Major

Initial distribution

  • Click the dropdown menu to select where your film will initially be distributed:

    • Basic Cable Television

    • Direct to Video

    • Home Video

    • Network / Free Television

    • New Media

    • Pay / Premium Cable Television

    • Theatrical

Budget

  • Enter an estimated total budget amount for your production

  • This information helps Wrapbook determine which union agreement rates apply to your project

Runtime

  • Enter the expected runtime of your production in minutes

Television / Episodic

Dramatic vs non-dramatic

  • Select whether your series is a dramatic or non-dramatic production

  • This distinction affects which union rate schedules and worker classifications apply to your project

Program format

  • Click the dropdown menu to select the format that best describes your series

Single vs multi-cam

  • Select whether your production uses a single-camera or multi-camera setup

  • Camera configuration affects certain union agreement classifications and applicable rates

Studio

  • Click the dropdown menu to indicate whether your production is affiliated with a major studio or is independently produced:

    • Independent

    • Major

Initial distribution

  • Click the dropdown menu to select the platform or channel where your series will initially air

Budget

  • Enter an estimated total budget amount for your production

  • This information helps Wrapbook determine which union agreement rates apply to your project

Runtime

  • Enter the expected runtime per episode in minutes

Commercial

Program format

  • This field is automatically set to Commercial Spot for commercial productions and does not require a selection

Budget

  • Select the estimated budget per shoot day:

    • Under $50,000 per day

    • $50,000 – under $80,000 per day

    • $80,000 – under $100,000 per day

    • $100,000 – under $125,000 per day

    • $125,000 or more per day

Music Video

Program format

  • This field is automatically set to Music Video for music video productions and does not require a selection

Budget

  • Select the estimated total budget for your production:

    • $55,000 or less

    • $55,001 – $300,000

    • $300,001 – $500,000

    • Over $500,000

Runtime

  • Enter the expected runtime in minutes

Other production types

  • Contact your Wrapbook Customer Success Manager or the Support Team if you need assistance configuring the Production details for other production types
