How to spot and avoid phishing scams

At Wrapbook, your security is our top priority. Scammers often impersonate trusted companies to trick people into sharing personal information, account credentials, or even funds. Here’s how you can stay safe and keep your Wrapbook account secure.

Be on the lookout for suspicious messages

Phishing scams often come in the form of emails, texts, or even phone calls. Here’s how to identify a potentially dangerous message:

Red flags

To protect your account, watch for these red flags of a potentially dangerous message:

  • Strange Content: The message references projects, companies, or individuals you're unfamiliar with—or ones you haven’t interacted with in a long time.Scammers may also reference actions that you’ve already taken in Wrapbook — for example, reminder messages about onboarding, when you’ve already completed it.

  • Odd Design: Some phishing emails copy the look of official Wrapbook messages but may include inconsistent fonts, off-brand colors, or spelling mistakes

  • Suspicious Links: If you’re unsure about a link, don’t click it

Always check the sender

Legitimate emails from Wrapbook will always come from the domain @wrapbook.com.

Scammer emails may come from a domain that looks close to the real one, but has subtle differences.

Watch out for lookalikes like:

  • x1-wrapbook.com

  • wrapbook-x1.com

  • wrapbock.com

  • mail-wrapbook.com

  • wraphook.co

  • wrabpook.co

If it looks sketchy, it probably is.

Protect your account

Here are some best practices for protecting your account from scammers:

Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA is an account login process that requires users to enter more information than just a password to access their account. Adding MFA to your account adds an extra layer of security. To learn more, see Multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Use strong, unique passwords

Choose a password that’s long and complex, and never reuse passwords across sites.

Never share your password

The Wrapbook team will never ask for your password or MFA code. If someone does, it’s a scam.

What to do if you suspect a scam

If something feels off:

  • Don’t respond to the message

  • Don’t click any links

  • Do report it to our Support team - Our team is here to help you identify potentially suspicious activity. If you have any doubts about a message you’ve received, give us a call or send us an email.
