The Project chart templates section is where you can set up a company-level Chart of Accounts (COA).
A COA is an itemized list of accounting codes that correspond with financial transactions
In production accounting, each payable item (like cast, crew, and expenses) is assigned a specific code within the budget
When payable items are assigned codes, their associated values (like rates and fees) are stored within that account, which helps with cost reporting and budget tracking
Set up a project chart
Project charts are permission based
To update, your account must have one of the following roles enabled:
Role: Company Admin, Accountant
Custom role with: Accounting settings - Full access
To set up a project chart:
In the left side navigation, click the dropdown menu
In the dropdown menu, select All projects
In the left-side navigation, click Company settings
On the Company settings page, in the Accounting settings section, click the Edit button next to Project chart templates
On the Project charts page, click the + Add chart button
When you click the + Add chart button, you’ll be prompted to choose the template that you want to start from.
The options are:
Blank Template
Copy from Wrapbook AICP Template
Import from CSV
Blank template
When you choose the Blank Template, you’ll build your chart from scratch.
To use the blank template:
On the Project charts page, click the + Add chart button
In the Create new chart popup, enter the Chart name and choose Blank Template
Click the Create & manage button to open the blank chart
From here, you can add chart sections, line items, and subtotals
Add chart sections
To add chart sections:
Click the New button and select Chart section
In the New section popup, enter a Short code and the Section name
Repeat this process until you’ve created all of the sections you want listed in the chart
Add line items to a chart section
To add line items:
For each section that you’re adding line items to, click the Add line button
In the New line popup enter a Cost code (required), and any of the optional details that you’d like in the line item
Repeat this process until you’ve added all of the line items for each chart section
Add chart subtotals
Click the New button and select Chart subtotal
In the New subtotal popup, click the search icon in the Label box to select the subtotal range. Subtotals that are added Below the line will be grouped into their own chart section for reporting purposes.
Under Insert subtotal choose where the subtotal will be inserted: After… or Before…
Click the search icon under Insert subtotal and begin typing the name of the section where you want the subtotal positioned
To add more subtotals to your chart, repeat the steps above

The Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) Template is generally used for commercial productions.

When you choose to use the Wrapbook AICP Template, you’ll have the option to customize the following:
Chart name
Section names, short codes, and position
Line items, cost codes, descriptions, and cost types
If you’re using integrations with Wrapbook, you’ll see the option to click the Map to button in any line to share the line item’s data with other software applications that are connected.
Use the AICP template
To use the AICP template:
On the Project charts page, click the + Add chart button
In the Create new chart popup, enter the Chart name and choose Copy from Wrapbook AICP Template
Click the Create & manage button to open the template
Import from CSV
If your company uses a specific chart, and you have a copy of that file saved to your computer, you can upload it to Wrapbook.
Format your chart
Before importing your chart file, you’ll need to make sure it’s formatted:
The file must be in CSV format. If your chart is saved in another file format, you’ll need to convert it to a CSV before uploading it to Wrapbook.
The chart must use the following column labels:
Cost code
Cost type
The Cost type column can only have the following values:
Labor
Expense
Fringe
Platform fee
Other columns labels that can be used are:
Cost description
Section code
Section description
To help format your file correctly, Wrapbook provides the import template below. You can click Download to save a copy to your computer. The template shows you the required column labels and how they should appear in a file before you upload it.
Import your chart
To import your chart:
On the Project charts page, click the + Add chart button
In the Create new chart popup, enter the Chart name and choose Import from CSV
Click the Create & manage button
On the Import chart page, select the CSV chart file saved to your computer that you want to upload
Click the Import button
Identify and fix import errors
If errors occur when importing a file, Wrapbook will flag each one and include the row number and reason for the error. In most cases, errors are related to a required column not being labelled correctly. To see the proper labels for required columns download and review the import template wrapbook_accounting_chart_template.csv provided above.
