Payroll requirements and limitations

Prev Next

Before running a project’s payroll in Wrapbook, be aware of the following requirements and limitations:

  • In order to be paid through Wrapbook all workers must have a United States (US) bank account, US address, and a valid social security number

  • Wrapbook does not support companies based outside of the United States

  • U.S. workers can be paid while working in eligible foreign locations. This feature must be enabled for your account — contact your Wrapbook Customer Success Manager or the Support Team to get started. Foreign work locations must be approved by Wrapbook's Workers' Compensation (WC) team before they can be added to a project. To learn more, see International payroll support.

  • If you’re planning to shoot in another country, you must use your company's US address as the project location in order to process payroll through Wrapbook

  • For US citizens working in Canada with a Canadian Tax Waiver, Wrapbook can support these workers if––and only if––they apply for their waiver using Wrapbook's CRA Number. Once Wrapbook approves the waiver, payments will be completed and managed in Wrapbook. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM)  or the Support team for the CRA Number.

  • For US resident employees and loan-outs working in Canada, Wrapbook can support these workers in all provinces except Quebec, union & non-union

  • US-based loan-out workers hired on Canada projects must provide their full 15-character CRA program account number (Canada Business Number / CBN) during onboarding. Workers without a CBN may self-attest during onboarding, and Wrapbook will collect their CBNs at a later date. To learn more, see Canada Business Number (CBN) for US-Based Loan Out Workers.
