Tax-year timing and preview

The Current tax year tab helps you review the tax year that Wrapbook is preparing for the current filing season.

  • From January through June, the tab shows the previous tax year

  • From July through December, it shows the upcoming tax year

The Current tax year tab may be available before e-filing opens. You can use it to review vendor and payment information and make corrections. The E-file option becomes available when the filing period begins.

When the latest form version for the selected tax year isn't available, Wrapbook shows the most recent form version on file with the selected tax year's data. The preview drawer displays: Preview illustrated with most recent revision on file. Do not file taxes with this preview. Updated revision will be used for e-filing.

Don't use a preview to file taxes or as a recipient copy. Use the preview to review vendor information, payment amounts, and the available form fields. After the updated form version is available and e-filing is submitted, final PDF forms are available for download.

If the preview doesn't match the vendor or payment information, stop before filing. Correct the vendor or source transaction, return to 1099 reporting, refresh the dashboard, and review the preview again.
