The Paid Sick Leave Report gives you visibility into the accrual and usage of sick leave for eligible workers across all projects in your company. This report helps ensure compliance with state and local sick leave laws and provides accurate records for internal tracking and audits.

The Paid Sick Leave Report is a critical tool for:

  • Compliance tracking - Ensure you're meeting sick leave requirements set by jurisdictions like California, New York, or others

  • Worker inquiries - Quickly respond to employee questions about their accrued or used sick time

  • Production wraps - Include unused sick leave data in wrap materials or final payroll reconciliation

What’s included in the report

The Paid Sick Leave Report includes key information on accrual, usage, and balance of paid sick time for each eligible worker, such as:

  • Worker Name

  • Worker Type (W-2 only)

  • Project Name

  • Sick Leave Accrued (hours)

  • Sick Leave Used (hours)

  • Sick Leave Balance (hours remaining)

  • Accrual Rate (per hours worked)

  • Sick Leave Pay Amounts

  • Work Dates Related to Sick Leave Usage

How to generate a Paid Sick Leave Report

To generate a Paid Sick Leave Report:

  1. In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu

  2. In the dropdown menu, select All projects

  3. In the left-side navigation, click Reports

  4. On the Reports dashboard, under Paid Sick Leave Report, click the View report button

  5. On the Paid Sick Leave Report page, use the available filters to refine results by:

    • Date range

    • Project

    • Worker name

  1. Click Download CSV to generate the report

After you click the Download CSV button, the file will be automatically downloaded to your computer. To locate the file, navigate to where your computer saves new downloads.

Pro tips

  • Only W-2 employees are eligible for sick leave under most state laws—use filters to focus reporting on them

  • Review this report monthly or quarterly to stay ahead of any compliance gaps

  • Encourage your teams to log sick time properly so data in this report remains accurate and up to date
