Assigning workers to a department or location is permission based
To update, your account must have one of the following roles enabled:
Role: Company Admin, Company Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Assistant, Department Head
Custom role with: Project management - Full access, Manage
Overview
Workers assigned to a department will appear when you filter the project’s People dashboard by department.
How to assign a department to a project worker
If you need to assign the department for a single worker, you can do so directly from their worker profile.
From the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu and select the project
Click People
Click on the worker's name to open their profile
Next to Job & pay, click Edit
Click the Department dropdown menu to make your selection
Click the Save button
How to bulk-assign project workers to a a department
To assign more thank one project worker to the same department:
In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu
In the dropdown menu, select the name of the project that you want to assign departments
In the left-side navigation, click People
On the project People dashboard, click to check the boxes next to each project worker that you want to assign
Click the Actions button at the bottom of the page to select Assign department
In the popup, click the search icon to choose the department that you want to assign to the project workers
Click the Assign button
