This means if a crew member changes roles, picks up an additional position, or needs to be hired under a different union or rate structure mid-production, you can send them a new deal without creating a duplicate worker profile. Each deal is its own distinct hiring engagement with its own job details, pay rates, dates, locations, allowances, and startwork documents, keeping your records organized and accurate throughout production. **Note**: The ability to assign multiple worker deals is available on film and television projects by request. For more information, contact your Wrapbook Customer Success Manager or the [Support Team](/v1/docs/how-to-get-help-using-wrapbook). ## **What each deal includes** Every deal you create for a worker contains its own set of hiring details, independent of any other deals on the same project: - *Deal name (optional, but recommended for easy identification)* - *Start and end dates* - *Job title and union affiliation* - *Rate(s) (daily, weekly, or hourly)* - *Work location(s)* - *Allowances (kit, box, per diem, etc.)* - *Startwork documents and agreements* - *Notes* ## **How to view deals on a worker's profile** Deal information can be viewed on the project worker's [profile](/v1/docs/about-worker-profiles) and [timecard](/v1/docs/the-admin-view-of-a-project-workers-timecard). ### Deal summary At the top of a [worker's profile](/v1/docs/about-worker-profiles), click the **Deals summary** toggle to display all active deals for that worker. Each deal shows: - Worker type, job title, and union - Primary rate and any additional rates - Allowances (if applicable) - Deal dates ### Deals If a worker has multiple deals, each one is displayed as a separate tab. Click on a **tab** to see its details. ## **Editing a deal** ### Before startwork is signed To edit a deal directly from the [worker's profile page](/v1/docs/about-worker-profiles): 1. Under Deals, click the deal’s **tab** 2. In deal’s *Job & pay* section click **Edit** ![](https://uploads.linear.app/f85a71d8-001e-488d-ae91-c39cb4f29e28/6e324620-7414-4524-b5f1-fff42e10e44f/2b56fe83-5ffd-4791-b3c4-447c88d024cd) *Under Deals, click the deal’s* ***tab****, then click* ***Edit*** *in the Job & pay section* ### After startwork is signed If a worker has already signed [startwork](/v1/docs/about-startwork) that includes fields such as start date or pay rates, editing that deal will trigger a *change form* instead of a direct edit. You'll be prompted to confirm the changes and whether the startwork documents should be regenerated. If documents are regenerated, the worker will receive an email notification that their startwork has been updated. ### Editing a deal from a project worker's timecard To edit a deal from [a project worker's timecard](/v1/docs/the-admin-view-of-a-project-workers-timecard#how-to-access-a-project-workers-timecards): 1. Click **View worker details** 2. Next to the *Rate details*, click **Edit** ### Editing multiple deals at once When submitting a *change form* for a worker with multiple deals, you can update each deal from a single form using deal-specific tabs. All changes are submitted together. ## Delete or archive a project worker deal Any [company team member](/v1/docs/members) with [permission](/v1/docs/roles-permissions) to update project workers can delete, archive, and restore project worker deals. The action available for a deal depends on whether the deal has signed startwork or payments: - **No payments and no signed startwork:** Open the deal and click **Delete deal** to permanently delete it. Deleting a deal can’t be undone - **Signed startwork and no payments:** Open the deal and click **Archive deal** to archive it. An archived deal stays on record and can be restored later - **Any payments:** You can’t delete or archive the deal. Payment history must be preserved Delete a deal only when you’re sure you selected the correct deal. If the deal has signed startwork and you might need the record later, archive it instead. ### Delete, archive, or restore a deal Any user with permission to update project workers can delete, archive, and restore deals from the worker profile. In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu to select the project 2. In the *Project* menu, click **People** 3. Use the search and filter to find the worker and then click on their name or the **View** button to open their worker profile 4. Click the **Add new deal** button 5. Fill in the deal details: - *Deal name -* Optional but recommended. If you do not enter a custom name, Wrapbook will generate one automatically based on the job title. - *Dates* - *Work locations* - *Affiliation* - *Allowances* - *Required startwork* 6. When you're ready, click the **Send deal** button. The worker will receive an email notification with the deal details. ## **Worker onboarding for additional deals** When adding a new deal to a worker who is already onboarded, you'll be prompted to choose how onboarding will be completed for the new deal: - **Worker:** The worker receives an email notification and completes or re-signs the relevant startwork documents for the new deal on their end. - **Production company:** You manually enter the necessary details on behalf of the worker. No notification is sent to the worker in this case. **Note:** The onboarding method for additional deals follows the method used for the worker's first deal. If the initial deal was manually completed by the production company, only the production company option will be available for subsequent deals. If the worker will need to complete or re-sign startwork for the new deal, a banner will appear on the deal form to remind you before you send. ## **Worker Deals FAQ** To help you understand how worker deals are configured and manged in Wrapbook, we’ve put together this list of frequently-asked questions. Click the arrow next to each question to see the answer. #### Will my worker need to re-onboard for a new deal? No. Workers do not need to re-enter their personal tax information, payment method, or I-9 for additional deals. They only need to complete or sign the [startwork documents specific to the new deal](/v1/docs/add-and-manage-worker-deals-on-a-project#worker-onboarding-for-additional-deals). #### Where can I see all of a worker's deals in one place? The [worker's project-level profile page](/v1/docs/about-worker-profiles#deals-tab) includes a [*Deal Summary*](/v1/docs/add-and-manage-worker-deals-on-a-project#06ea2793-7fcb-41f5-9c56-8a5aa3f34e2f) section listing all of their deals. You can also use the *Deal* tabs to navigate between individual deals. #### What if I need to send a deal to a worker's agent instead of directly to the worker? If *Agent information* has been added to the [project worker's profile](/v1/docs/onboarding-workers-with-agents#setting-up-a-worker-with-an-agent) you can direct the new deal notification to the worker's agent. Contact your Wrapbook Customer Succes Manager or the [Support Team](/v1/docs/how-to-get-help-using-wrapbook) for details on this setup. #### Who can delete, archive, or restore a deal? Any [company team member](/v1/docs/members) with [permission](/v1/docs/roles-permissions) to update project workers can delete, archive, and restore deals. #### Can I delete or archive a deal after it has been paid? **No.** Deals with any payments can’t be deleted or archived because payment history must be preserved. #### Can I delete a deal after the worker signs startwork? **No.** If the deal has signed startwork but no payments, click **Archive deal** instead. *Archiving* keeps the record, and you can restore the deal later. #### Where do I find an archived deal? In the worker’s deal list, click **View archived**. Archived deals appear in the *Archived deals* panel. Click **Restore deal** to restore an archived deal. #### What happens when I archive a deal? The deal stays on record and can be restored later. After you click **Archive deal**, a confirmation message says *The deal has been archived.* #### Can I restore a deal that I deleted? **No**. Deleting a deal can’t be undone. You can restore only archived deals. #### How do I delete a deal I created by mistake? If the deal has no payments and no signed startwork, open the deal, click the options menu next to **Edit**, then click **Delete deal**. Review the **Delete deal?** popup, then click **Delete deal**. #### What should I do if I’m not sure whether to delete or archive a deal? If the deal has signed startwork, click **Archive deal**. Delete only a deal with no payments and no signed startwork, and make sure you selected the correct deal first.
