# About project preferences

## Overview

The *Project preferences* section of *Company settings* is where you set your company-wide preferences for projects.

## Access Project preferences

> [!NOTE]
> Project preferences are permission based
> 
> To update, your account must have one of the following [roles](/v1/docs/permissions-and-access-control) enabled:
> 
> - Role: *Company Admin*
> - Custom role with: *General* *settings* - *Full access, Production entities - Full access, Manage*

To access *Project preferences:*

1. In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu
2. In the dropdown menu, select **All projects**
3. In the left-side navigation, click **Company settings**
4. Scroll down the page until you see *Project preferences*
