# About Production entities

## Overview

A *production entity* (PE) represents a legal entity with its own Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and associated bank accounts that is recognized by federal tax authorities.

In Wrapbook, you can set up and manage multiple production entities within your company, allowing you to maintain clear financial boundaries between different projects while keeping all your production management tools in one unified platform.

**Production entities are available by request.** To enable this feature for your company, [contact your Customer Success Manager](/v1/docs/how-to-get-help-using-wrapbook).

## Access Production entities

> Production entities are permission based
> 
> To access, your account must have one of the following [roles](/v1/docs/permissions-and-access-control) enabled:
> 
> - Role: *Company Admin*
> - Custom role with: *General settings* - *Full access, Production entities - Full access, Manage*

To access *Production entities:*

1. In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu
2. In the dropdown menu, select **All projects**
3. In the left-side navigation, click **Company settings**
4. Next to *Production entities*, click the **Manage** button

By default, the details for your company will be listed as the primary PE.

## **Changing Production entities settings**

Once *Production entities* are enabled for your company, any changes, including updating entity details or changing which projects are assigned to a specific production entity, must be made by your Wrapbook Customer Success Manager. To request a change, contact your CSM directly or [reach out to Wrapbook Support](/v1/docs/how-to-get-help-using-wrapbook).

(EIN) Federal tax identifier used to identify a business

(Federal Tax Identification Number) Official identification number, often a Social Security or Federal ID number, used for tax reporting.
