## Troubleshooting login issues

If you continue to have difficulties logging in, try the following:

### Clear browser cache and cookies

Cached data or old cookies can interfere with login functionality. If you believe this may be causing your login issue, try the following:

1. Clear browser cache and cookies.
2. Restart the browser.
3. Try logging in again

Clearing your browser cache and cookies varies by browser. See the official instructions for your specific browser below.

### Try a different browser

The login issue may be browser-specific. In this case, you can try the following:

- Use a different browser (for example, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)

### Disable browser extensions

Some extensions (like ad blockers or privacy tools) can interfere with scripts. You can check to see if this is the issue by:

- Temporarily disabling extensions
- Reloading the page and attempt login again

### Check your system time and date

Accurate system time is essential for:

- Secure connections (SSL/TLS)
- Logging and event tracking
- Scheduled tasks and updates
- Time-sensitive authentication (e.g., OAuth, MFA)

To prevent system time and date issues:

- Confirm system time is accurate
- Set time/date to auto-sync with Network Time Protocol (NTP) if possible. Most modern operating systems use NTP to synchronize your device's clock with official time servers, ensuring accuracy without user intervention

### Review network and firewall settings

Firewalls or proxies might block login requests. To address this:

- If you’re using a VPN or proxy try temporarily disabling it
- If you’re on an internet connection that’s managed by an organization like a company or school, you may be blocked from accessing certain websites. Check firewall settings or try on a different network (for example, your mobile hotspot).

(Open Authorization) OAuth is a secure way for apps and websites to access your information from another service without asking for your password. It lets you sign in or share limited data safely by granting permission through a trusted provider, like Google or Apple.

For example, when you click *Sign in with Google* you're using OAuth. Google confirms who you are, and the app gets access without ever seeing your password.

(Virtual Private Network) A VPN is a tool that creates a secure, private connection to the internet by routing your traffic through a remote server. It hides your real IP address and encrypts your data, which can help protect your privacy and allow access to region-restricted content. However, VPNs can sometimes interfere with how websites load or how accounts authenticate.

A mobile hotspot is a feature on a smartphone or tablet that lets it share its cellular data connection with other devices by creating a temporary Wi-Fi network. When enabled, laptops, tablets, or other phones can connect to the internet through the mobile device’s data plan.

Note: Using a hotspot may consume a large amount of cellular data, so it’s best to monitor your usage or check your data plan with your carrier.
