# Line numbers

## Overview

With Wrapbook, you have the option to require line numbers (accounting codes) for timecards and production expenses. When you enable this option, the line number fields must be completed before timecards and expenses are approved.

## **Enable line numbers for timecards and expenses**

> Line numbers are permission based
> 
> To update, your account must have one of the following [roles](/v1/docs/permissions-and-access-control) enabled:
> 
> - Role: *Company Admin, Accountant*
> - Custom role with: *Accounting settings* - *Full access*

To enable line numbers:

1. In the left-side navigation, click the dropdown menu
2. In the dropdown menu, select **All projects**
3. In the left-side navigation, click **Company settings**
4. On the *Company settings* page, in the *Accounting settings* section, click the **Edit** button next to *Line numbers*
5. On the *Line numbers* page, under *Require line numbers to approve timecards & expenses*, choose **Yes**
6. Under *Automatically match job title to line number description and autofill the default*, choose *Yes* or *No*
7. Click the **Save** button
