# How to set up payments to you and your clients

## About payments & agent fees

When setting up your payment method, it’s important to remember that **payments directed to agents will always be made in the form of mailed, paper checks** - Wrapbook does not offer direct deposit of payments to agents.

You clients’ payments will include:

- Your client’s pay
- Your agent fee

Your agent fee is set by the production administrators when they invite you and your client to their project in Wrapbook. When your agent fee is set, it will be included in worker paychecks and will be taxed as worker wages.

### How agent fees are structured in Wrapbook

When a production company adds an agent fee to your talent's deal, that fee is included in the talent's gross wages and taxed accordingly — it is not issued as a separate check. The full gross amount (your talent's wages plus your fee) flows through payroll and is taxed as part of the talent's total gross. You receive this as a single mailed paper check.

**If you prefer to receive your agency fee separately** from your talent's wages, you can arrange this directly with production outside of Wrapbook rather than using the platform's agent fee feature. This decision should be made **before** payroll is processed.

## Adding your banking information

As an agent, you’re prompted to configure your payment method during onboarding, but you can update this information at any time, by following these steps:

1. [Login to your Wrapbook account](https://app.wrapbook.com/login)
2. In the left-side navigation, click **Agent Settings**
3. On the *Agent Settings* page, click the **Edit** button next to *Banking information*

### Check payee settings

In the *Payment Method* section of the *Banking information* page, you’ll be required to enter the *Agency with Payment Authorization* and *Agent payee format*.

### Agency with Payment Authorization

In this field, enter the name of the *Agency with Payment Authorization.* What you enter here dictates how the authorized agency name will appear on checks.

**Note:** If a project requires a *Payment Authorization Form* (PAF), you can upload one directly in Wrapbook. To upload a PAF for a specific project, go to your [Clients](/v1/docs/navigating-wrapbook-as-an-agent#my-clients) list, click **View** next to the client's name, open the **Projects** tab, and click **Upload form** in the *Payment authorization form* column.

### Agent payee format

Under *Agent payee format*, you can click the **Agent payee format** dropdown menu to specify how the *Pay to* line should be printed on checks issued to your clients. Your options in the dropdown menu are:

- *AGENT c/o WORKER*
- *WORKER c/o AGENT*

For loan-out corporations, check payee lines are always formatted as:

- AGENCY NAME C/O LOAN-OUT CORPORATION NAME

### Mailing Address

In the *Mailing Address* section, you can click to update:

- *Name of Agency (or Agent)*
- *Address on Payment Authorization Form*

If you make any changes to your *Banking Information*, be sure to click the **Save** button before leaving the page.

A loan-out company is a corporate entity, typically an S Corporation or C Corporation, that "loans out" the services of an individual (usually an entertainment industry professional) to other companies. The individual is an employee of their loan-out company, which in turn contracts with production companies or other businesses.
