# How to enter days worked when you're an overtime-exempt worker

## Overview

*Overtime (OT) exempt workers* are production workers who are not entitled to receive overtime pay under the [Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)](https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/fact-sheets/17a-overtime) or applicable state laws.

This means that OT-exempt workers are paid a regular salary regardless of hours worked.

In Wrapbook, a worker’s OT-exempt status is determined by their *Employment type* details in their [worker profile](https://help.wrapbook.com/docs/how-to-update-your-account-settings-worker#your-worker-profile). Your *Employment type* is typically set by the production company’s administrators when they invite you to join a project in Wrapbook. If you are an OT-exempt worker, you’ll be able to use the *I worked this day* option on timecards.

## Entering days worked when you’re OT-exempt

The way that you enter days worked when you’re OT-exempt depends on if you are a union or non-union worker.

### OT-exempt non-union workers

- OT-exempt non-union workers will be able to click the I worked this day checkbox next to each day worked
- When the *I worked this day* box is checked for a workday, the option to enter START and END times for that workday will be disabled

### OT-exempt union workers

- OT-exempt union workers may be prompted to select the *Day type* for each day worked
- The ability to use the *I worked this day* option, and required details for the workday is based on the worker’s union affiliation(s) and the *Day type* selected (when applicable)

The ability to use the I worked this day option and enter Start and End times is based on the Day type selected, and the Employee type listed in your worker profile details.*
